THE PRINCE CONFERENCE CENTER ON THE CALVIN COLLEGE CAMPUS WAS THE SITE FOR THE 2005 KNITTERS' SEMINAR.
IT WAS A MAGNIFICENT PLACE FOR THE DEMONSTRATORS, VENDORS AND ALL WHO CAME TO THINK AND DO 'KNITTING' .

The registration table in front of the great stone fireplace set the stage for an informative yet relaxing seminar for the 2005 attendees.
Knitter's were able to "let the rest of the world go by" while being surrounded for two days of instruction and socializing with others who share a passion for knitting.

Shopping in the brightly lighted vendor area was attractive to all. Lots of yarn, books, knitting accessories, as well as knitting and embroidery machines were available for purchase.
The busy marketplace extended to hallways where demonstrators also sold their books, software, patterns, and accessories.

This year A Baby Blanket Blitz Contest was featured.
Contestants submitted entries in 5 categories. Best Boy, Best Girl, Best use of lace, Best use of fairisle, Best use of Tuck, and of course, Best of show.
Attendees voted and these were selected as winners!

An Awesome Knitter caught the eye of the secret "Awesome Knitter Contest Judge"
On Friday an Awesome Knitter's Contest was held. Everyone was encouraged to wear their spectacular knitted garments. Secret judges roamed the area looking for those who were outstanding. At the banquet those chosen were announced as they modeled in the style show.

IN ADDITION, SPECIALTY CLASSES WERE OFFERED:
Cathie Sanders taught a very well received machine embroidery class.
Charlene Shafer taught a hands on 970 box class
Tricial Shafer offered classes in DAK (Design A Knit). Those who attended her class were treated to "state-of-the-art" technology in their classroom.
Diane Piwko's 2 day class for beginners was a hit with those who brought thier own machines and walked away with a finished vest.
THE BANQUET AND STYLE SHOW ON FRIDAY EVENING
Good food, a slide presentation, door prizes, and a style show were highlights of the Friday evening banquet.
